Canyoneers Guided Nature Walks
Canyoneers are San Diego Natural History Museum volunteers trained to teach appreciation of plants and animals in southern CA. These programs are interpretive nature walks, not endurance hikes, and Canyoneers try to accommodate the desires and abilities of all participants. Every Saturday, the Canyoneers will take you on a different trail and tell you all about the different plant and wildlife that exist within each habitat. There are several different levels of difficulty, from Easy for novice hikers, to Extra for advanced hikers looking for a challenge. They also have trails that are wheelchair accessible and are sensitive to every hiker?s needs. If you need special accommodations before you start your hike, simply let your Canyoneer guide know and proper arrangements will be made. Group tours are perfect for scouts, senior citizen groups, clubs and any other organizations and can be pre-arranged by calling the museum at least two weeks in advance.
