Listing Details: Scripps Ranch Theatre is ran by an all volunteer group. The organization strives to produce quality theatre performances for the community. The theatre has been around for thirty one seasons and has a growing reputation. The theatre originated in 1978 without a permanent home. The members stored theatrical props in houses and bedrooms. Due to the lack of a venue, the performers produced their art in shopping center parking lots. Now Scripps Ranch Theatre found a home in the Legler Benbough Theatre located in the Alliant International University campus of Pomerado Road. The theatre is always looking ahead; the vision of the performers is to “envision a theatre that one day will serve all ages, al cultures, all economic groups. A theatre that will provide sustenance for artists and audience alike.”
