Listing Details: The Mission Theatre has been around since 1946. Its original form was as venue for a movie theatre. Forty years later, a local theatre group was formed and thus began the Mission Theatres transformation from a movie theatre venue into a live theatre playhouse. The “Fallbrook Players” were the original performing group to use the Mission Theatre for productions. Currently, the theatre is resident to CAST productions for a performing arts school. CAST produces several adult performances, as well as school performances for all ages of youth. Most of the performances are classics: Peter Pan, Les Miserables and annual Holiday productions. The preservation of the antique art glory of the Mission theatre gives it a charming, traditional interior. The theatre puts on local and regional performances, yet has a small town charm.

Added 04/19/11 Been around forever

This place has been around so long that my parents have fond memories of it. This is one of the best places to catch a live show. The general buzz around the stage shows goes along well with the downtown location.
