Listing Details: The Lamplighters Community Theatre was originally known as The La Mesa Little Theatre in 1937. The La Mesa Little Theatre incorporated The Lamplighters Community Theater in 1976 and has been known as The Lamplighters since. The community theatre entertains La Mesa and the surrounding communities with its annual five season productions showcase. The productions are performed on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons ritually. The community theatre also supports special events one act shows between the regular seasons. The community theatre strives to provide performing art entertainment for the local communities, as well to provide a training facility for artistic growth. The location of the Lamplighters Theatre Company used to be at the Ben Polack Art Center, but is currently looking for a new location.
