I'm in San Diego visiting some friends for a couple weeks and I noticed that almost everyone here has a beautiful tan. Coming from Boston's freezing cold winter I am pretty pale in comparison to all the Californians. After some persuasion, my friend got me to go to Hollywood Tans with her to get a little color in my skin. The lady at the front desk recommended the UV-free mystic tan and I have to admit, it's by far the strangest experience I've had here on the west coast. But, I'm happy to report that I am bronzed and beachy, and ready to adventure the rest of San Diego!
Conclusion

 Anyone visiting San Diego from a state where the sun doesn't shine should go to Hollywood Tans for a quick tan before hitting up the beaches

I went to the PB Hollywood Tans location, which has great service, but wanted to try out something closer to my apartment. The Hollywood Tans in the Gaslamp area was just as good as the one in PB. It had the same awesome funky but hip tanning booths that really did give off the “Hollywood” vibe. And not to mention, the services at both locations were consistent: I still got to go the HT60 tanning frequency booth, which is the fastest in session and in seeing results, and also got bronzed with the “Dark Sensation” to get that really rich, dark, and natural tan that I LOVE. For those not into really dark tans like me, don’t fret—there’s definitely other methods that are perfect for everyone.
Conclusion

 Find dark, subtle, medium, glowy tans--whatever you're looking for--at H.T.

Spring break is a little more than a month away and my friends and I planning a trip to Cancun for the week. I am sooo pale and it's a little embarrassing when I go to the beach to try and get a tan, but leave as red as a lobster instead. I decided that I'd go to Hollywood Tans, a couple blocks from my apartment to get a tan before the big trip. I went to their website to browse around and found the "tanetics report" where you answer a series of questions about your skin, tan-color preference, etc., and they give a report about which tanning booth you should use, how frequently you should use it, and even a list of bronzers suitable for your skin. THAT was a huge help for me, the tanning salon novice. I went in twice this week and am already noticing a nice base tan from the HT high pressure booth...I should be golden and sun-kissed by the time Cancun rolls around!
Conclusion

 I can't wait to finish my tanning plan and see the final result. I don't have to worry about being the pasty girl at the beach anymore!!
