I recently moved here from Sacramento where I had been going to two people who were perfect! Nikki @ Lush (916)447-5874 did my cut and I would drive an 1 1/2 for my color with Oralia @ Tonsorial Hair Studio (530) 879-0154.
I have very thick, mostly straight hair, so I was very nervous to let anyone but them even touch my hair, especially since I'm growing my A Line out.
Well I went online and did some research. Some salons' websites sounded really good and I thought it would be a perfect fit ... until I read the reviews! So when I finally found DK and read their reviews, I was really surprise that all of their reviews were all good! Not just on this website but on yelp and others. I went onto DK's website and it had all their product information (I love Bumble & Bumble) and even had profiles of the stylists.
I finally decided on Stefani McMahon because she had gone to Bumble & Bumble cutting classes, like Nikki, and we had similar hair cut :)
When I went in, I was nervous, but the Mimosa definitely helped :) I was very clear as to what I wanted, which was to take out some of the weight (I have tons of thick hair), to blend in the growing out A Line so it wouldn't look so funky in the growing out processes, and keep as much length as possible.
Stefani definitely took her time and she was so nice! The end result was perfection and after that I was sold!
I then scheduled my color with Amy Meza at DK. Again I was very specific about the color of highlight I needed her to bring my old highlights to, so I brought a picture. She also took her time and used the Damage Bumble & Bumble products on my hair which I loved!!!
I know it sounds like I'm just trying to sell this salon, but seriously, from the minute I walked in, the friendly receptionist, Eric and other staff greeted me and offered me something to drink and now they even have a person giving massages while you wait. Its definitely busy, but not hectic and its a great way to spend a Saturd
