Vasseur Skin Salon and Spa takes a fresh approach to skincare while channeling the sophistication and serenity of the Victorian era. Literally housed in a historical Victorian home – the original Sherman Judson House – Vasseur is one of the few local spas where the hustle and bustle of the modern world is truly flushed away at the door. Vasseur completely renovated the space to restore the building’s original splendor.

While the building may be antique, there is nothing historic about Vasseur’s skin care products or techniques. Vasseur makes its own fresh and all-natural professional grade skin care products in house. And at the spa, the estheticians are expertly trained with high product knowledge to tailor the products to each individual client’s skin type during every service performed. Fresh products means the ingredients are alive and in their most potent form, which results in superior product penetration and effectiveness. As the Vasseur motto goes: freshness is the key to effectiveness. Two of our favorite must-try spa treatments are the Vasseur Signature Facial which includes a customized fruit enzyme mask and a mini photo thermal treatment for instant skin rejuvenation and firmness; and the Fresh Alpha Peel which uses advanced alpha-hydroxy acid techniques to uncover a radiant complexion. Treatment diminishes discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles, and enlarged pores.

Added 08/13/10 only facial to help my acne

I have adult acne with a combination oil and dry skin along with brown spots. Vasseur facials and products have improved my skin so much!! all I can say is I am AMAZED.

Vasseur is the one place that I cannot skip in my monthly regime. They have everything, waxing, facials, airbrush tanning, and salon services. They are my one stop shop and I always know that their products are the best for my skin!

Added 08/05/10 Spa uses handmade fresh products, my skin feels great!

My mom bought me a gift certificate here for my birthday and I had an amazing experience! First, they told me the products (Vasseur Skincare) are hand made fresh and don't have any harsh ingredients. My face was glowing when I left - it really made a difference!

Added 05/26/10 Long term changes in a just a few visits.

I LOVE this spa! I haven't tried everything there yet but just the facials have made such a change in my skin. The products are amazing and I have never broken out. The age of my skin is unidentifiable now. I am so pleased with everything and everyone. Try the "Finishing touch".. amazing what it does to your complexion.

I have been to numerous spas throughout San Diego and I have got to say that the facial and massage I received was amazing!! Enjoying a nice glass of champagne with my girlfriends and enjoying the amazing view was unforgettable! We now have a monthly "Girls Day" planned. Thanks Vasseur for making our day so special!!
