Editorial Review of The Salon Bordeaux

Like a better-smelling version of Cheers, the Salon Bordeaux is a place where everybody knows your name. Located in the Normal Heights neighborhood, the salon takes great pride in treating customers like old college roommates. Starting with complimentary consultations and shoulder massages, the stylists give clients customized cuts while chatting about the latest on Brad and Angelina.
In addition to offering traditional services such as massages, facials, waxing and hair treatments, owner Jessica Hunter included yoga and meditation to create a complete haven in relaxation. Even parking is peaceful, as the salon has its own lot for clients.
The Salon Bordeaux really does not pay homage to its French name; in fact, it is more reminiscent of a close knit sorority than anything else. Compared to the coldness of some upscale salons, the Salon Bordeaux is the place to snag a new style while being surrounded by friends.
