After honing his craft in Montreal, Michel Benaroch trained in Los Angeles under the tutelage of Vidal Sassoon Artistic Director, Elie Ezerzer. As the Head Stylist at Umberto Beverly Hills, Michel achieved fame and esteem working with Hollywood celebrities including Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder and Jermaine Jackson. After two decades in L.A., Benaroch packed up his scissors and headed south to set up shop in the beautiful coastal community of La Jolla.

Added 07/20/12 I would not recommend

My highlights were terrible. First set had to be redone because they were not what we discussed, not even close. Came back to give Michel Benaroch another chance. Even more disappointed this time. Doesn't even look like I had my hair done, so much for a FINE highlight and not chunky with gobs of dark. And $230 to boot. I would not recommend

I come here to see my girl Deanna. I love the way she cuts my hair and come here when I need to look my best. Definitely a special occasion place but a good one to remember.

I love this salon! I have been going here for two years. Michel is at the top of the game in hair color and cut. The staff is amazing!!! Regardless of who you are you are treated like the most important client they have. You are never pressured or rushed through your service. My hair cut and color are amazing. I am frequently asked who does it. The only answer is Michel Benaroch who else!
