Jet-Rhys Hair Salon

The worst salon in San Diego. I went in with long beautiful hair and told my hair stylist to give me a few layers and "leave it long." I walked out looking like a punk rock boy which is what my stylist looked like. I guess she figured I wanted HER haircut. What part of "leave it long" means you can cut off 8 inches of hair?? I've been crying for 3 days over the hair cut. Every time I see myself in the mirror I burst into tears. The color was nothing great, either. And the best part? A color and cut that left me crying and upset cost $450!! It's the worst experience I've ever had at a salon anywhere. I've actually lost sleep over the experience, I've been so upset. It's going to take years to grow back what they chopped off in one day. Stay away and save yourself.

After reading other reviews I decided to try Jet Rhys. I first met with my Colorist who was fantastic. She knew exactly what color I wanted. Staff gave amazing service and was very helpful. When it came to my haircut I met with Jenn. She gave suggestions for my cut. I told her I wanted to keep more length and didn’t want choppy layers. She seemed to agree and would make the compromises I had asked for. She began cutting and everything I we had discussed had gone out the window. She gave me a cut that reflected more of her punk style than what I had asked for, cutting most of the length and giving horrible layers. I left so upset and now hate the way my hair looks. I would go back to the colorist but never again to Jenn.

My friend from work made an appointment for me at Jet-Rhys after I had spent weeks complaining about how dull I thought my hair was....I ended up totally loving the place, Heather gave me the perfect cut and color to freshen up my dead hair. The price wasn't too bad, but I was kind of annoyed by the fact that they tried to push all their products on you
