Editorial Review of
APB
In 1999 APB (American Pig Brand) established a San Diego based street-wear clothing brand to reflect the unique, and often excessive, aspects of American culture. From bigger and better SUV's to 24-hr fast food drive-throughs and pre-approved platinum credit cards, the super-sized lifestyle in America is truly extraordinary.
APB graphics and logos balance current trends and styles, as well as portray the core cultural concept. The nature and tone of the APB voice is clever, witty, humorous, and well styled. Each idea and offering encompasses commercialism, politics, pop culture, and significant topical issues.
APB celebrates the American way: freedom, individualism, and quirky tendencies. It acknowledges that we, as Americans, like to speak for ourselves and proudly express our point of view. The APB concept of satirizing the establishment is not a new one, but APB's unique clothing brand and fashion identity are.
PS: Come down and meet the APB mascot: Kevin Bacon, the pig.
