Zia's Bistro
Location, location, location. This restaurant has all three and doesn't stop there, the food and wait staff are excellent, bringing back tourists and locals time and time again. Appropriately located in San Diego’s Little Italy district, Zia’s understands that food happiness, friendship and inner peace can all come from a good meal and a glass of wine. In the outdoor patio area, one can lean back and watch the bay, soaking in the San Diego sunshine while munching on delectable Italian and Italian American creations from head Chef Andre Bellard.
Zia's offers some of the finest caprese salads in the city, along with an amazing Sicilian calamari with a dipping sauce sure to please. Follow that with the Gamberi al Limone, a shrimp and mushroom dish with a delectable cream sauce, or the Ravioli di Aragosta, lobster ravioli in a succulent pink cream sauce, for a fantastic dinner in Little Italy that shall not soon be forgotten. Stone fired gourmet pizzas are also available for the picky eaters. Be sure to browse their wine list, featuring an array of reputable labels with a generously sized glass pour.
