Owned and operated by the creators of Jimmy Love’s Restaurant and Bar in the Gaslamp, Visions truly is outcome of their vision of what a Gaslamp restaurant and lounge should be. Visions hosts sophisticated dining, dancing, private parties, and events. Visions serves new world cuisine and sushi, and offers an impressive wine list and full bar. Just voted Best New Restaurant in San Diego, Visions is making a huge buzz in both the San Diego restaurant and San Diego nightlife scene.

I went to Visions with a party of 12. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer to be shared. It was horrible. It wasn't hot and I don't think it was fresh. I had to send it back to be reheated and it wasn't much hotter the second time. I ordered the "mixed grill" as an entree. It was an incredible mess! Two seperate sauces dividing the plate with a combination of chicken, steak shrimp and mashed potatoes in the middle. It too wasn't very hot-- just warm. It couldn't even eat the chicken .It was so bad This entree was $30 and deifinitely not even close to worth the price. I think visions need to get a better focus on creating better food and a more sophisticated menu if they want to compete in the Gaslamp.
Conclusion

 I don't recommend eating there.
