Editorial Review of
Vincent's Restaurant
For 16 years, Vincent’s Restaurant has won rave reviews and the hearts of diners at its location in downtown Escondido. Combining classic French techniques with quality ingredients, proprietor and Executive Chef Vincent Grumel offers up a menu of seasonally inspired cuisine. His dishes are meticulously balanced, complete, fresh and stunning. Try the Le Tournedos Merlot plated over Stilton cheese and finished with a Merlot wine sauce, served with potato gratin and a medley of seasonal vegetables; the Duck a l’Orange Maple Leaf Farm Duckling prepared in candied-orange and crystallized-ginger sauce and served with potato gratin; or the Sweet Potato Raviolis filled with a mixture of roasted sweet potato, shallots and herbs, served in a sagebeurre blanc and topped with pancetta and shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano. The cellar holds over 2000 wines bottles and includes an exceptional selection of sought-after-wines including wines from grand vintages as well as coveted wines of small producers. For six consecutive years, Vincent's has been honored by receiving the "Award of Excellence" from the Wine Spectator.
