Vigilucci’s Seafood, Steak & Chop House

This restaurant has an eclectic variety of food varying from steak to seafood. The seafood is very fresh and delicious. I would recommend the seafood pasta.

This place is sure to impress anyone who is lucky enough to eat here. Not only are you treated like royalty, but you also get to eat accordingly. Without a doubt the best place for a fancy date night in La Jolla.

My coworkers and I tried out the new Vigilucci’s Chophouse in La Jolla the other day for lunch. I was happily surprised with the quality of the lunch menu and with how speedy and sophisticated the service was – a nice change of pace from the usual lunch routine. I got the Salmon for lunch, and it was served with a vodka pomegranate sauce (how could you not try that?) and placed over a bed of veggies. The Vigilucci’s lunch menu varies with smaller items such as salads and tapas style bites, but it also has plenty of fresh fish and chicken dishes as well as sandwiches and, of course, pasta. If you work in downtown La Jolla, check out this spot before it’s no longer new and you have to actually wait for an afternoon table.

As a North County local, I grew up dining at Vigilucci’s Trattoria Italiana in Encinitas for special occasions. Now that I’m living in La Jolla, I am extremely excited to hear about the latest Vigilucci restaurant – the Seafood and Steak House. It is such a great location on Prospect. Although I could never figure out why the old Cendio went out of business, a Vigilucci’s restaurant is a great new addition to the neighborhood. Don’t be hesitant to try out an Italian steakhouse. Most of the time, new fusion concepts become the hottest trends, and this is no exception. Definitely try out the Prime Porterhouse with baked asparagus and sauteed wild mushrooms. Everything my girlfriends and I ordered was delicious.
