Urban Solace
Created out of a desire to bring a new and exciting neighborhood restaurant concept to San Diego, Urban Solace’s straight-forward dining and service experience offers patrons the utmost in luxurious comfort. Executive Chef, Matt Gordon, and General Manager, Scott Watkins founded Urban Solace after working in the restaurant business for 17 years and have aimed to create a dynamic environment for both staff and customers.
Gordon and Watkins have created an original selection of American comfort-style dishes along with a unique selection of handcrafted beers and west coast wines. For starters, try out the famous warm-cheese biscuits and orange-honey butter or some of their sweet potato French fries with blue cheese-buttermilk dressing. For dinner, order their Cornmeal Crusted Arctic Char accompanied by their apple-fennel salad, roasted sweet potato and lemon butter. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. From their Cinnamon-Caramel Cheesecake with warm pear compote to the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Crème Brulée, your taste buds are bound to tingle.
