Editorial Review of
Turf Supper Club
The San Diego Turf Supper Club in the Golden Hill neighborhood of the greater downtown area is regarded as one of the top local steakhouses and American eateries. Although quite a trek from restaurant row in the Gaslamp, a fine steak and a mellow atmosphere drive a consistent customer flow. In fact, the non-Gaslamp locale and non-Gaslamp vibe are what keeps the regulars coming back. And despite the long wait on most nights, the Turf Supper Club is praised for the grill-it-yourself dining style (similar to the Gaslamp Strip Club, but without the “scene”) the generous wine list, and dive bar-esque ambiance. A known fact is when you leave the Turf Club, you’ll smell of steak - for hours.
