Trattoria Acqua has claimed one of La Jolla’s luckiest lots, overlooking the cove and the Pacific. With views like that, at any other restaurant you’d forget the meal sitting in front of you— but not at Trattoria Acqua. Fresh seafood is prepared with Mediterranean flair, and displays an admirable range of undersea diversity. Orata (Halibut), Branzino (Seabass), Marmora (Purple Snapper), Royal Scampi, Accuga (Sardines), and Rombo (Turbot) are just some of the sea-faring creatures that might grace your plate in delicious fashion. The lobster ravioli with tomatoes and basil is remarkable, and the strawberry pancakes are worth saving room for. And of course, as in any fine Italian restaurant, wine is a requirement.

Overall Rating:
Trattoria Acqua is one of my favorite restuarants in all of San Diego. The atmosphere and location are unbeatable. Such a great place to take a date or family from out of town. I always order a seafood pasta dish, they are cooked to perfection and presented so beautifully. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly and they are always willing to anwser any questions. The wine selection is top notch and the staff will help you pair a dish and wine together perfectly.
Conclusion

 The only Italian restuarant in San Diego you will see me at.

Agree - La Jolla Italian Dining at its Best

There are a few other Italian gems but Trattoria's atmosphere, caring staff, and location set it apart.
