The Olive Cafe
Located between the boardwalk and the bay in the heart of Mission Beach, this cozy coastal cafe caters to college kids, surfers, and local MB and PB dwellers. Breakfast choices include the Sultan’s Scramble, made with three eggs scrambled with soy chorizo, tomato, onion and green pepper, served with a side of hash browns and toast; the LT. Jr Breakfast Quesadilla, with two scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, mushrooms, green pepper, cheddar and jack cheese inside a flour tortilla; or the whopping South Swell, served up with three scrambled eggs, three slices of bacon, two pancakes and hash browns. If you’re craving a sweeter breakfast entree, you can’t go wrong with Luke & Claire’s Kookacakes, made with two large pancakes stuffed with chocolate chips and topped with banana slices, powdered sugar and whipped cream; or the Berry Brandy Cream Cheese French Toast, grilled with cream cheese and smothered in a mixed berry brandy sauce. Popular lunch items include the Randwich Wrap, stuffed with chicken breast, melted provolone cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, ranch and tapatio hot sauce; the Santa Clara Sub, stuffed with ham, turkey, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, mustard and olive oil in a grilled baguette; or the Veggie Burrito, made with black beans, mushrooms, green peppers, spinach, onion, avocado, corn bits, tomato, and hash browns.
