Editorial Review of The Linkery

The Linkery in North Park is a fresh take on the neighborhood restaurant where natural meat products, local greens, and real ale bring people from all walks of life together in a casual, fun dining setting. Come to the Linkery and expect an ever-changing menu always featuring deliciously varied fare; items such as pulled pork empanadas, pastured spring lamb, and an array of house made link sausages round out the full menu. The Linkery is unique because it focuses on using organic ingredients, supporting local farmers, and giving their customers a fun, casual dining experience while providing the highest quality food.  Housemade products is what makes The Linkery stand out, as everything in the restaurant is housemade, from its sausages to its bread to its mustards, and even its hand spun ice cream!  Knowing that everything is housemade, guarantees that you'll have the freshest meal possible.  Everything is clean and done with the best interests of the guest in mind.  Want to tantalize your taste buds? Try the sausage tacos, complete with jalapeno-mustard aioli for a Mexican, German, American adventure in food. An extensive wine list from both local and foreign wineries tops off this fun restaurant in North Park.  You can be sure that The Linkery is the place to be for a fun meal with friends or a place to catch a few cocktails.  Everything at The Linkery is made with quality and freshness, something that they will not skimp on.  Be sure to check out their website, as they post up events daily to let customers know about things that are happening locally and within the restaurant.

Added 04/19/11 Farm fresh!

The staff here is amazing and know the, constantly changing, menu inside and out. All the food is locally raised (with the farmers actually being listed on the menu) and has never disappointed me. Try the burger topped with an egg and DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT leave without trying one of their signature hand made sausages. It is the Linkery, after all.

The service was prompt, courteous and not too aggressive. I had good light German beer, a chicken chorizo sausage on a bun followed by peaches and cream. There was a great rugby game on the screen, Springboks v All Blacks, my favorite sport.

Added 02/04/09 No wonder the gratuity is automatic!

The prices are outrageous in comparison to the portions. For an appetizer we got a dip and it was served with about 20 miniature chips. My mother ordered some kind of sausage that was not supposed to be spicy and my father ordered a sausage that should have been spicy, and well - although they claimed to not have mixed up the order... they did not get what they were promised. I was STARVING after eating an extremely tiny portion of risotto... which cost about $15. We all left hungry and unsatisfied. The service was also substandard. And just a heads up - they add 18% gratuity on EVERY ticket!!!! How can that be considered a tip!!!! What a rip off! The food was bad, the service was bad, and the prices were outrageous. C'mon now!
