The Duck Dive
Tried and true beach bums know that the prime day on Pacific Beach shores is spent with quality brew and food in hand. The new Duck Dive, inhabiting the old Hennessey’s space on Mission Boulevard, offers a bit of finely crafted fare while maintaining surfer style. From the casual, sand-colored interiors to the outdoor patio, guests can meander from the rectangular bar and booths to the beach breeze outdoors. Surf styles are embraced, but don’t come expecting just another PB bar food menu. To start, The Duck Dive serves fresh and original bites like the Grilled Asparagus Wrapped in Prosciutto with fonduta, poached egg, and drizzled with balsamic reduction. For a mealtime fix, guests can dive into a long list of sandwiches like the DD All-Natural Certified Angus Half Pound Burger with pimento cheese, tomato relish, caramelized onion and lettuce, with garlic aioli on a toasted brioche bun. The Duck Dive offers a rotating line-up of local and micro brewed offerings, and an extensive craft cocktail menu featuring classic and contemporary takes.
