Editorial Review of The Dragon's Den

San Diego is about to be gifted with another new East Village hot spot. This time, it’s not a sports bar or hipster lounge, but rather a sexy, seductive and mysterious Japanese haven: The Dragon’s Den. From the brain behind Suite & Tender and JBar, Operating Partner and General Manager Ronny Tompot, comes a new Asian-inspired bar and restaurant featuring fine sake, craft beer, specialty cocktails made with organic and gluten-free spirits, a stand-alone raw bar, full sushi menu and an array of authentic Asian small dishes. Dragon's Den also features the only Pour-Your-Own Beer Draft Tables in San Diego County. Sound Interesting? Click Here to learn more.

Added 05/19/11 asian fusion

After hearing so much about this place, I finally went to check it out for myself. This place is a little bit hyped up and I was more underwhelmed by my experience but I wouldn’t write this place off completely. They have a pretty wide selection of foods such as Xiao Long Bao, which I was pretty impressed with. Its hard to come by good Chinese food in San Diego, but the Xiao Long Bao and dumplings are pretty traditional and I felt like I got a little taste of home. Their other dishes, however, weren’t as authentic but still above average. This Asian fusion is pretty interesting and is worth checking out at least once.

Something about this place just screams sexy. The design is super sleek and the price is a bit steep, but the food has yet to disappoint me.

So glad that found this place! The food was very tasty and well priced. The service left nothing to be desired. I will definitely go back!
