Sunset Bar and Grill

I agree that the service is lacking. out waitress dropped the cocktail napkin on the floor, and then bent down, picked it up and put it on our table for us to use with our food. She did not serve forks with the appetizers we ordered and we had to ask. I also want to comment that the music needs to change. smooth jazz, or light mellow music to match the elegant sunset would be nice. The pop, bouncy music that they play just does not match the Del Mar sunset. the drink specials and fish tacos are excellent!

I have always loved this place when it was Epazote. The view is awesome at sunset. We came for a quick bite on our enniversary. The owners have changed everything to make it a sports bar environment though! The food was excellent, we liked everything we tried from the new menu, but the front of house staff are obviously incompetent. It took too long to be noticed, served and the manager just seemed to hang out in the bar, area not paying much attention to her servers. It seemed very disorganized and hectic and it wasn't that busy really. I would however like to emphasize that the food was still great. I had the special of the day Ahi Tuna with a delicious moroccan sauce on it and my wife tried the mahi mahi. While I was very disappointed in the service, I will try it again for the food and the view.
