Editorial Review of Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

There are never enough boutique breakfast spots in town, and we welcome Snooze with open arms and big appetites this fall. Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is now open on Fifth Avenue in Hillcrest, and operates with a simple, honorable mission: to re-energize the way locals experience the most important meal of the day. Unique breakfast items include the Breakfast Pot Pie, Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes, Red-Eye Velvet Pancakes, Chilaquiles Benedict, and Snooze’s hearty Breakfast Burrito and Breakfast Tacos. And whether you’re craving a hot cup of coffee or a strong morning spirit, Snooze has you covered with a big selection of espresso drinks, mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, craft beers, and signature cocktails, such as the Hound Dog made with citrus vodka, grapefruit juice and raspberry liqueur. Make it a double, and keep the red velvet pancakes coming!

Added 11/20/11 Pancake Flights & Breakfast Burritos

Our first visit was excellent. We tried the top 3 pancakes in our pancake flight and all were great especially the red velvet pancake! The lattes were a nice touch to the Benedict we shared but the true test was today on our second visit with our daughter, the pancake connoisseur who opted for the sweet potato pancake (unbeknownst to her) but with added chocolate chips. It was a perfect combo and a happy kid too. We shared their breakfast burrito with both the red and green sauces and were stoked! Can't wait for visit #3.
