Shades is a family owned and operated restaurant in Ocean Beach that offers up delicious fare at an affordable price. Locals continually flock to Shades for their outdoor dining and infamously appetizing breakfast. Dig into notable and unique plates such as the Bruschetta & Scrambled Eggs topped with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes drizzled with pesto; the Filet Mignon Benedict smothered in rich hollandaise sauce; Dave’s Ocean Beach Omelet with bacon, Ortega chilies, onions and cheese; or the hearty Banana-Nut pancakes. Shades’ daily Happy Hour from 4pm-6pm offers locals the chance to enjoy half-price giant martinis and specialty cocktails on the patio while enjoying spanning views of OB’s shoreline.
