Sammy's Woodfired Pizza and Grill Point Loma
Sammy's Woodfired Pizza has been a San Diego favorite since its introduction of the woodfired pizza oven in 1989. The chain has multiple locations densely packed within San Diego County due to clamoring demand for Sammy's delectable adaptation of the classic American dish. Pizza selections can only be defined as gourmet, with flavors such as Arugula and Pear Pizza, a fruity salad blend drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette over gorgonzola and fontina cheeses, and their top selling LaDou's Barbeque Chicken Pizza, an amalgam of barbeque sauce, cilantro, and smoked gouda. To top off the meal, try their trademarked Messy Sundae, which comes in a gigantic goblet so full that chocolate fudge and walnuts spill over the edge. Best of all, although Sammy's is famous for transforming simple pizza recipes into refined entrees, their prices remain traditionally moderate for the average American family.
