Ruth's Chris is probably one of the first names you will hear when asking a San Diego local what the best steak house in town is. Like most steak houses, prepare to pay a pretty penny for the prime provisions. But unlike most steak houses, there is a chance to see a fine view of the ocean. If you can't see the ocean from the inside, you can take a break outside.
One should dress in semi-formal here as this is a casual elegant restaurant. If you're not the type to dress-up, do not worry. Once you get the food and fine treatment, you'll realize it was worth going through the trouble.
Conclusion
You pay a high price at the Downtown Ruth's Chris, but what else should one expect at a steak house? I don't recommend eating at a place like this every weekend, but when you really want to splurge on a special dinner, Ruth's Chris is a pime choice.
