Restaurant at Stingaree
Not only is Stingaree San Diego’s finest nightclub, the landmark venue is also home to fine dining in a swanky setting. Before you begin your bottle service, fill up on gourmet bites from the Restaurant at Stingaree. Executive Chef Antonio Friscia combines ingredients from around the world with fresh produce from local vendors, such as Via De La Valle, California's Chino Farms, to create a hybrid of cuisines. Stingaree recently launched a new culinary concept featuring a completely revamped menu which focuses on global cuisine made from local, sustainable and fair-trade produce and ingredients. Going green on a whole new level, Stringaree also makes a commitment to support San Diego farms and ranches with unique compost programs. Although Chef Friscia is passionate about local sustainability, his global menu transports patrons on a culinary journey around the world, drawing upon distinctive Latin, Mediterranean, European, Pacific Rim and Regional American influences and flavors. The family-style menu makes for a fun and interactive dining experience (always recommended for birthday dinners!) and dishes range from $5 - $21.
A few must-try items include the Caramelized Guerrero Negro Sea Scallops with sekai-ichi apple stonefruit salad and sherry vinaigrette; Happy Tummy Pork Spareribs with hoison-honey sauce; Grilled Spiced Yogurt Marinated Wild Jumbo Mexican Shrimp with tamarind chili sauce; Crab Risotto with Alaskan king crab, organic vialone nano risotto, and sweet summer corn; New England Saikou Salmon – wild king salmon with vegetable stew and dashi-miso brood; and Crispy Skin Sonoma Duck Breast – cold smoked duck breast with market melon brunoise, red and white organic quinoa salad, and whiskey cherry sauce.
