Editorial Reivew:

Rei Do Gado, or the King of the Herd, is the leading Brazilian Steak House in San Diego. The blend of Brazilian tradition and Gaslamp interpretation is intoxicating. Rei Do Gado is built around the concept of Churrasco, or Brazilian barbeque. In this authentic feast, lightly marinated meat is skewered, roasted slowly in the heat, and served with Brazilian rice, beans, and salads. Rei Do Gado takes an innovative spin on the traditional concept with over forty different meat selections, side dishes, and salads. Guests meet an unlimited buffet of sides as waiters slice meat selections off the skewer to your plate. Still hungry? Simply place a green chip by your plate to keep the meat coming.

Rei Do Gado in Downtown San Diego

Green all the way! Keep the meat coming! Never ever been so stuffed in my laugh. Sure it took a big chunk out of my wallet but it's definitely worth the big chunk of tender, yummy brazilian beef.

The Rey Do Gado Experience

I love Rey Do Gado! The food is fantastic, especially the meat. They also have a fabulous salad bar with everything from salads to smoked salmon. Rey Do Gado is more than a restaurant....it's an experience. Instead of ordering from a menu, the servers walk around with sword-like skewers filled with delicious meats, and you fill up on bite size pieces ranging from skirt steak to filet mignon wrapped in bacon to chicken & sausage. The service is not the greatest, but the flavors sure do make up for it.

I love it!

Green means go, Red means stop and it's all you can eat. They just keep bringing you the most delicious Brazilian BBQ until you can't take it anymore. The salad bar is really good too.
