Puesto Mexican Street Food is bringing street cred to the La Jolla scene. And they’re upholding upscale standards while doing it. The menu gives the power to the people with a walk-up griddle and made-to-order dishes using all-natural ingredients. And while street-style is the thing here, they’re not skimping on health factors. Dishes include local and seasonally organic produce, all-natural meets, grass fed beef, sustainable seafood, freshly made corn tortillas and six homemade salsas. The form of your food at Puesto is a game of mix and match, make-it-your-way served in either tacos, bowls, or salads. Each is filled with guisados, grilled protein and gourmet vegetarian options. Go meaty with carne asada, chicken, fish or shrimp al pastor; Eat fresh with the grilled salmon filet for salads and bowls; Or step out of comfort zones to more traditional takes with Huitlacochoe, zucchini flower, potatoes with soy chorizo, or mushrooms with Guajillo chile.

This is the worst MExican Food I have tasted for a long time. The salade was much to be desired,it tasted like its disinfected in clorox, the chicken was shredded to the point of disintergration of taste an appeal. I guess all their new patrons and reviewers, who must be friends of thc owners and their community simply have no taste buds. Spare yourself from this new venue. Verdes or Rigobertos or many other local MEx restastaura out beat this one

We tried this place last Friday night and the food was horrible. The Pollo was like chicken soup and the Carne when eaten alone tasted like fish. Way over priced for what you get and the food was very dissapointing. Wouldn't recommend eating here.

The meat was terrible, pollo was like a yucky soup...I exchanged. It for Carne, which tasted like fish! Worst meal I have had in a long time. Complete disappointment!
