Offering waterfront dining and five-star dishes, the just-opened Mistral, at Loews Coronado Bay Resort, is sure to be turning more than a few heads this year. Aside from the exquisite dishes, the restaurant has one of the top happy hours in Coronado, offering their $10 “Mussel Madness,” which includes a bowl of steamed mussels and a glass of white wine or local-brewed beer.
Mistral is also notable for being one of the most pro-San Diego and environmentally friendly restaurants in San Diego. On top of gathering most of their herbs in the hotel's own 3800 square foot garden, supporting the local Coronado Farmer's Market and using almost exclusively local fish in their dishes, they even offer free valet parking to guests driving Hybrid vehicles.
