Located on Garnet Avenue in the heart of Pacific Beach, Limonz Gourmet Salads is a new quick-casual eatery serving an inventive selection of freshly prepared, gourmet salad combinations, hot plates, wraps and combos to diners in search of healthy options amid a sea of fast food and faster bars. Inside, the contemporary design is a sophisticated fusion of linear angles, bold colors, metallic fixtures and unexpected art that entice the eye, inspiring both conversation and appetites. Fresh floor tiles resembling real grass, clear bubble stools and green and café-colored bar code accents create a hip, clean environment.
The inventive menu of salads, hot plates, wraps and combos were designed to appeal to a wide range of picky palates. Over 14 ‘gourmet green’ concoctions make up the restaurant’s stable of salad offerings including: watermelon & blue cheese salad, seedless watermelon and micro greens with red onion, cherry tomatoes, Maytag blue cheese, candied hazelnuts and raspberry balsamic dressing; and the salmon & asparagus couscous salad, herb marinated grilled salmon over exotic lemon-saffron couscous with blanched asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, green onions, chives and lemon-herb saffron vinaigrette. Specialty salads will be added to the menu throughout the year based on the season’s freshest available produce and ingredients at the time.

I have only been once and the time I went the experience was pleasant. The guy behind the counter did a great job explaining how the restaurant worked and new the selections well. I liked the variety of options you had to choose from. whether it was sauces or things to put inside the burrito. Not a traditional Mexican burrito place but if you are looking for a burrito like that it is a good place to go.
Conclusion

It looks as though this restaurant has undergone a few changes in menu choices over the last year or so. All I can tell you about is the most current one. They serve the most awesome salads and hot plates I've ever tasted. Whoever came up with the recipes is a wonderful chef for sure. I've tried all the salads and they are wonderfully innovative with delicious dressings. But if you want a little slice of sher heave, try the salmon/couscous "salad". It's the most yummy combination of tastes. This new place is truly a yet-undiscovered gem in PB. Try it, you won't be disappointed!!
Conclusion

Check it out and tell your friends!!

I've been to Limonz a few times. It was one of my favorite salad places until a few cleanliness problems stood out. During the summer there were a lot of flys all over San Diego, but I had no idea that many of them were inside Limonz Restaurant! There was a fly trap right next to the door, but it was footsteps from where I was eating. The second time I went there, it took a while for the food to come out and I noticed as I was waiting for my salad, that the sanitary buckets were inches away from my salad! I watched the cook in the kitchen as she was cleaning, waiting for probably the chicken to cook. The wet sanitizing rag splashed in it's red bucket right next to my salad! Where's the Sanitation Department when you need them? When I told the cook about my concerns, she just stared at me dumfounded when I talked about the sanitary buckets and the hair that was in my blue cheese! I haven't been there since!
Conclusion

I don't think I'll be visiting my once favorite salad place ever again! Sanitation is BIG in my book! especially when it concerns food entering my body!
