JRDN Restaurant
JRDN restaurant, named after the owner’s father Jordan, is the crux of Pacific Beach’s hippest hotel, Tower23. The stylish spot would seem much more fitting in the Gaslamp, if it weren’t for the sleek sea-themes present throughout the interior. Most noteworthy is the vast "wave wall", which reflects the sunset in the evening and vacillates in symphonic colors by night. Dinner is comprised of locally-produced produce and seafood harvested by sustainable methods, and is creative and satisfying, with dishes like Braised Short Ribs with chestnut purée, smoked lentils, swiss chard and horseradish; and Lobster “Pot Pie” with a pea trio, pearl onions, lobster cream and puff pastry. Patrons usually prefer an entrée from the "burning up" list, where they must select a cut, a rub, a sauce, and two sides, such as the smoked potato puree and brussels sprouts with bacon. The exclusive Lounge Menu also includes signature, must-try cocktails like Chili Mango Margaritas and Pear Sparklers. Not to mention, there’s food for sharing including Kobe Beef Sliders and Mussels with Chorizo.
