Jaynes Gastropub, a new restaurant located on Adams Avenue, is bringing some class to the neighborhood. Offering a taste of European cuisine, Jaynes Gastropub is a welcomed change in this realm of taco shops and burger joints. The menu, though limited in choices, compensates in originality.
You’ll find a three-course meal comprised of White Bean Crostini, Grilled Pork Porterhouse, and Gelato. However, entrees like the Jayne Burger and the Sea Bass Fish and Chips can comfort those who do not wish to venture outside of their comfort zone.
On tap Jaynes serves a more eclectic choice of beers than your normal pub in San Diego. Missing are your Buds, Coors, and Millers; replaced with Newcastles, Hitachinos, and Fat Tires. There’s definitely something different going on here.
