The new San Diego Jai by Wolfgang Puck is the new esteemed restaurant in the La Jolla Playhouse theater district within the Mandell Weiss Forum. Wolfgang Puck’s Jai in La Jolla was designed by notable architect Martin Vahtra, who designed the venue Red 7 also for Wolfgang Puck, as well as club 40/40 in La Vegas for Jay-Z and the Time Hotel in New York. The new La Jolla Jai in San Diego will serve the signature Asian fusion cuisine from Chef Yoshinori Kojima, the former Executive Chef at Red 7 in Los Angeles. The Jai menu offers such favorites as Big-Eye Tuna Tartare with Sesame Miso Cones and Kobe Burgers with Wasabi Aioli, Teriyaki Onions and Jalapeño Jack Cheese.
“I’ve wanted to bring my culinary vision to San Diego for quite awhile, and Jai has allowed me to fuse my love for Asian food with the culturally rich La Jolla Playhouse,” said Chef Wolfgang Puck. “Jai is leading the pack in San Diego by offering both a fine dining restaurant and on-site and off-site catering options so that San Diegans are able to enjoy fresh Asian cuisine, whether it be for an intimate dinner for two to an event for more than 1,000 people.”
