With a gorgeous view of the Pacific, San Diego Skyline and Coronado, Island Prime offers more than just a succulent menu selection. This Island-style restaurant offers tantalizing menu options such as the porcini dusted rack of Colorado lamb, served with Moroccan spiced tomato jam, du puy lentils, and a smoked tomato glace, as well as the indigo grill’s famous cedar plank roasted salmon, with cucumber salsa and black linguini. Do you have champagne tastes? Try the prime champagne cocktail, made with marie brizard peche, lemon and lime juice, champagne and a colorful sugared rim. Or if you’re more in tune with the island theme, the harbor monkey is an all-time favorite, made with Skyy Vanilla Vodka, Kahlua, Crème de Banana, chocolate syrup and milk.
I heard that Island Prime is one of the best restaurants to go to in San Diego and it definitely lives up to its name! I went there with my boss to impress him and it was fabulous! One of the most amazing parts of the experience was the view of overlooking the water by downtown, Coronado, the Harbor and everything! We lucked out and happened to be there when the sun went down over the water and it was so gorgeous. I had the the King Crab legs that were delicious. My boss doesn't drink and the menu even offered specialty drinks specifically with no alcohol which made it nice for us. The bill was pricey, but well worth the splurge. I
Definately over priced and over rated!!! The view is breath taking IF you can get a good seat. I would rather stand outside on the bay for a free view and have a better steak for half the price at Rainwaters or Ruths Chris. Service was pleasant. Drinks were also overpriced. I would not reccommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or local. There is much better out there!!!
This restaurant most definitely has some of the best seafood I've ever had in San Diego! The view was beautiful and the cedar plank salmon was delicious! I will definitely be back here again!
This place is awsome! If you really wanna eat. delicious seefood, don't miss this spot! I've never eaten seefood like this. This is definitely one of my favourite in town.
My girlfriend took me to this restaurant last week and it was pricy but very very delicious. One of the best restaurants I've ever been. Just relax and enjoy the variety of delicious seafood.
The pomegranate martini is glorious, really a perfectly flavored martini, which is hard with a flavor as bold, yet delicate as pomegranate can be. Try the hazelnut crusted scallops with the garlic risotto and asparagus, it is just brilliant. I love adding the shaved white corn. The food and drinks coupled with the stunning view makes this an eating experience you'll never forget.
This is probably one of the best seafood restaurants in San Diego. I recommend the west austrailian lobster tail. It's a really big portion and it is delicious.
My boyfriend and I went here and had fabulous seafood. The view was absolutely beautiful and I had several of their pomegranate martinis...delicious!
My boyfriend took me here for lunch one afternoon and we ended up staying 2.5 hours just enjoying the restuarant and view. I had some kind of tropical drink that was strong and delicious. the food was island inspired and the views were breathtaking.
