Editorial Review of
Crossroads at House of Blues
Crossroads is the all new dining experience at House of Blues San Diego. The new menu was created by celebrity chefAaron Sanchez, found on several Food Network programs, such as Heat Seekers, Chopped, and Best Thing I Ever Ate. The menu combines international dishes with updated, classic staples from the previous menu. Relax HOB lovers, favorites such as Jambalaya and Shrimp and Grits aren’t going anywhere; rather, they are getting improved with fresh takes from Chef Aaron. Soul food takes center stage at Crossroads, with delicious items such as Cornbread with Maple Butter, Pulled Pork Sliders, Basil Pesto and Tomato Flatbread, Street Tacos, Meatball Sliders, Seared Tuna Tostadas, Chile Braised Short Ribs, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Smoked BBQ Bacon Burger, and Bourbon Bread Pudding. Playing off the name, the interior of Crossroads is a place where intersections and highways reign. Antique road signs from all over the world can be found hanging on the walls, along with American roadmaps. The traveler’s delight of maps and signs mix well with the House of Blues signature folk-art feel, and make sense when presented with the simple, memorable cuisine.
