Editorial Review of Gringos Cantina

Gringos Cantina brings a new wave of Mexican food to Pacific Beach. Gringos is not your average taco shop; Gringos sets the stage for traditional Mexican food in with an elegant ambiance and a modern flair. Miguel Deer, executive chef of Gringos, wows Pacific Beach with upscale authentic Mexican cuisine.

Dinner favorites include the Lobster Margarita, a half lobster tail over hydroponic baby mache, mango-papaya relish and vanilla bean butter sauce. Premium "Tequila Flights" also create the buzz at Gringos. Pair your dish with a signature margarita, or a classic glass of Mexican red wine. Gringos serves lunch, dinner, and a featured Sunday brunch complete with champagne specials.

Added 04/12/11 Best Margaritas

I stay at Crystal Pier for a week every summer, and I go to Gringos for happy hour all the time. Their food is good, but their margaritas are amazing! I've tried about every one on the menu and I have to say that they are all very good. I definitely recommend going here for happy hour and trying one!

Added 05/25/07 Champagne Brunch

All you can drink Mimosas for $19.95? Sounds too good to be true, but I did take advantage of it, and went home really drunk. But before I spaced out, I remember enjoying the Champagne Brunch, and had my fill of omelettes, sausages, chicken, turkey, vegetables, shrimp, chips and what have you. A bit pricey, but my friend treated me to it, so it was ok.
