George’s at the Cove, arguably La Jolla’s most celebrated and popular restaurant, provides several distinctive dining experiences in one spacious space. Upstairs, the casual Pacific View Bar and rooftop Ocean Terrace Bistro take full advantage of George’s cove-stop positioning, both boasting an expansive view of the bright blue water, and the latter serving up dished like Mexican ceviche and curried chicken skewers.

The fine dining restaurant encompasses the space downstairs, and offers much more elegant fare. Enjoy subtler ocean views from wall-to-wall windows over cuisine like spiny lobster in Meyer lemon risotto, sesame crusted seared tuna, and roasted organic chicken breast with potato gnocchi. Service is excellent, and the deep-sea ambiance is unparalleled.

Added 03/25/09 Still the best restaurant in town!

Georges id definately not closed and its as good as ever! Staff is attentive and the food rivals the view, and thats hard to do in la jolla! The menu is fresh and exciting and the cocktail menu is second to none.
