Fred's Mexican Cafe in Old Town

I really like this place. I usually go on Taco Tuesday because they have great deals, but I went for Friday happy hour the other day and had a great time. They have great food and drinks.

I eat here about twice a month and it's always a great experience. The servers are great, the margaritas are event better, and the food is perfect on their outdoor patio. I recommend the shrimp tacos and cabo carnitas. Don't expect a super authentic Mx experience. This place is more Baja style. They even let you bring your dog!

We were only there for a brief period and experienced the worst service possible. Stay away from this place at all costs.

We frequent Fred's Mexican Restaurant every time we visit old Town. We always expect and get the best of service and a great meal. However, on Friday we were greatly disappointed as the menu has changed. First the prices had escalated and the portions had declined. Our Burrito contained more rice and beans then meat and their were no side dishes as usual which normally included refried beans, rice and a red pepper that we always look forward to. We were never asked if we wanted more water or drinks. We asked the waitress if the burrito didn't come with the side dishes and the answer was no. We checked the menu's of several other restaurants in Old Town and they included the side dishes.
