Evolution Fast Food is San Diego's only drive-thru restaurant offering a healthy, delicious, vegetarian menu. The goal at Evolution is to provide customers with a convenient, healthy and delicious vegetarian alternative to typical fast food. Because Evolution cares about the health of each of their customers and the environment, all of the ingredients are 100% plant-based, cholesterol-free and naturally low in fat. In addition, all food at Evolution is completely vegan, which means you won’t find any meat, fish, dairy or animal products of any kind on the menu. We recommend one of the all-natural burgers such as Mushroom Swiss or the South of the Border served with guacamole, salsa and jalapenos. Try one of the savory wraps such as the Tequila Lime Chicken, the BBQ Seitan, the Tofu Pesto or the Chicken Parmesan. You can also never go wrong with one of Evolution’s cheesy gourmet pizzas. We suggest the White Pie topped with zucchini ribbons, artichoke hearts, vegan cream cheese, oregano, lemon juice, and vegan cheese; or the Spicy Thai Peanut with carrots, cilantro, green onions, diced tomatoes, peanut sauce, vegan cheese and red pepper flakes.

Added 03/29/11 Good concept, a great alternative to vegetarians.

We went to this place for lunch. They have many options for vegetarian burgers and smoothies. We selected their burgers and smoothies. The Israel's Tonic (without Garlic) was really good. The other smoothie was Orange, mango and apple..that was great too. The burger's were OK and the fries were fresh..so more tasty. We felt that we were rushed thru the ordering process. If you are visiting, make sure you go over their menu in the parking lot. Additionally they have no set menu for children. They can definitely have some pre-decided menu for children such as cheese sandwich, steamed vegetables, tofu, etc. The person at the resister could not make one up. He was apologetic for it however. We eneded up giving a smoothie to our daughter. Their vegan cake was just awesome. Overall experience was good.
