Epazote Oceanview Steakhouse is a contemporary, upscale venue that breaks from tradition in both cuisine and environment. Sleek and sophisticated, it is a truly modern presentation of steakhouse dining with a 180 degree panoramic view of the Pacific, a hip bar, and a cutting edge ocean view lounge experience.

Guests may choose to dine on the smartly concepted Ocean Terrace for a truly exceptional steakhouse dining experience. Within its expansive open air terrace overlooking Del Mar, seasonal menus are featured by Chef Justin Hoehn with the finest cuts of meat, inspired gourmet rubs and sauces rich in flavor that are accompanied by only the freshest local produce.

Guests may also dine inside the adjoining Z Ocean Bar or Z Ocean Lounge with classic cocktails, inventive martinis, and the signature Epazote margaritas, accompanied by savory and eclectic appetizers. I am shocked that a $46 meal would be served on white plates that look like they've been around since the 1970s. My boyfriend's soup was served in a bowl that had black marks on it. the plate my entree was served on was DUSTY!! I complained no less than 3 times. The manager said "That's interesting" and said he's go check. He never returned. Every time the waiter dropped something off at the table, he nearly ran away. They didn't even bother to ask if there was anything they could do. I would have expected to have a glass of wine paid for by the restaurant, but they didn't have the inclination. No one said they were sorry. Inexcusable!!!!!
Conclusion

 We paid $105 for a view. I could have walked on the free beach for that. Don't get taken by this restaurant!
