El Bizcocho

El Bizcocho at the esteemed Rancho Bernardo Inn introduces a new culinary team in the kitchen. New Executive Chef Judd Canepari and new Chef de Cuisine Steven Rojas present a new style of dining at this award-winning destination. The chef’s tasting menus prepared by Rojas reflect his background in French and Spanish cuisine, as well as his love of pushing culinary boundaries. These menus will fit seamlessly with the modern French fare and contemporary California influence that has made El Bizcocho the resort’s premier dining destination. Also new in 2008 is the Rancho Bernardo Inn’s new culinary program: “Les Secrets de la Cuisine.” Rojas will work with the culinary team at Rancho Bernardo Inn to “demystify haute cuisine” introducing educational tableside tastings. Chef Rojas, along with resort Executive Chef Judd Canepari, will create five seasonally inspired tastings to be prepared and served tableside. Furthermore, a 1,600 label wine list is available to be paired with each course. Remember the strictly enforced dress code: dress shoes and shirts are required, and denim is forbidden.
