Prepare to embrace a truly lush interior as you enter Dussini Mediterranean Bistro. Luxurious velvet and leather upholstery over solid designs bask in the warm glow of tea light candles and soft wall lamps. Paintings of golden pears and countryside apples drape over the red brick walls, lending a friendly, homey air to the expensive décor.
Dussini features gourmet Mediterranean cuisine ranging from the famous Lobster Mac and Cheese, which provides half a pound of the fresh crustacean, to the Tuscan Lamb Shank, slowly braised in red wine.
The restaurant is equipped with an upstairs lounge that offers customers the use of a loft bar, billiard room, and fireplace. Also notable is the three story wine room that runs through the building. Dussini's cozy atmosphere is a versatile setting for family gatherings, or intimate dinners with close friends.
A group of my friends and I had an opportunity to visit Dussini's during "Taste of Gaslamp" and their food was exceptional. We've ventured into many restaurants to taste their food and decided to stick to Dussini's after we had tasted their lobster mac n' cheese, and because of the neat decor. Unlike some places (Bella Luna) the exceptional food and a nice social atmosphere... I look forward to going back; looks like an excellent place to have celebratory dinners with larger groups of friends. Check out the second floor with the bar, tv's, comfortable seatings and pool table!
