"One hundred percent prime, all the time" is the motto of Donovan’s Steak House in La Jolla. The atmosphere is appealing, rich in mahogany, filled with soft, flattering light. This upscale, world class eatery has the ultimate dining ambience.
It’s impossible not to find a wine that fits your taste within their extensive wine list, as the 23-page-long list contains wines of all ages from all over the world.
Start off with a Giant Shrimp Cocktail appetizer, and then move on toward the classic Asparagus Salad. Then for the main course enjoy a 24-oz Prime Rib eye Chop steak with a side of garlic smashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and fresh-baked bread.
But don’t fill up too quickly! The Triple Chocolate Brownie is a must-try at this elegant steakhouse. You won’t regret it!
Donovan's in La Jolla is great place for steaks or to enjoy a special occasion. I happened to eat in the VIP room for a business meeting, but I am certain that the regular dining area is just as fine. The menu is pricey, but one is usually in La Jolla or at a steak house ready to spend some dough. The steak I ordered was supremely well made and I loved every bite. The service was so great, I would say that I've never been treated better at any other restaurant.
