Donovan's of La Jolla

Not only is the food amazing, but the customer service is incredible as well. The restaurant is more upscale and a little pricey, but you sure get what you pay for!

I went with my boyfriend and absolutely loved the place. Definitely on the pricey end but so worth every single penny...that is if you choose to spend alot of money for high quality food and service. The meat was cooked exactly how I wanted it which is hard to say for alot of steak places. I would have to say Donovan's is better than Lawrys. The atmosphere was romantic which was perfect for me and my boyfriend, but it seemed to be good for big groups like corporate parties or family gatherings, so it was versatile...and not to mention the bar in the front was well positioned for those who are waiting.

Donovan's has delicious steaks and fish. I have had the filet several times and it is very good. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is very nice.

Donovan's in La Jolla is great place for steaks or to enjoy a special occasion. I happened to eat in the VIP room for a business meeting, but I am certain that the regular dining area is just as fine. The menu is pricey, but one is usually in La Jolla or at a steak house ready to spend some dough. The steak I ordered was supremely well made and I loved every bite. The service was so great, I would say that I've never been treated better at any other restaurant.
