Dick's Last Resort
Loud, trashy, crude, and obscene are a just few adjectives to describe Dick's Last Resort in San Diego, but the catch is- it's all part of the appeal. Probably the only restaurant in Downtown San Diego where a napkin-covered floor, snarky servers, and crude paper hats contribute to the ambiance.
Dick's is mostly a burger and ribs joint but there are also a couple seafood entrees, salads, and soups on the menu for those seeking lighter fare. No matter what you order, the food is best paired with one of the famous buckets 'o beer.
Inside the restaurant, guests sit at communal tables with friends and strangers alike. There's often live music or a crazy napkin fight for entertainment during your meal. Outside on the patio is only slightly more mellow; no communal tables or loud music, but always watch out for the occasional flying napkin.
