Dakota Grill and Spirits is an upscale steak and seafood restaurant that maintains a casual, yet elegant atmosphere with live piano music Thursday through Saturday nights. Executive Chef Todd Nash’s award winning mesquite grilled steaks and fresh seafood are no secret in San Diego; the signature three course prime rib three-course dinner, choice of pork or beef prime rib, is a locally renowned Monday night dinner special. We recommend the beef prime rib, with horseradish cream and au jus; a choice of pressed salad, classic Caesar, or roasted garlic flat bred; and a choice of chocolate pecan torte or bananas foster split for dessert—all for $24.50. Can’t make it on a Monday? Enjoy woodstone oven pizzas, classic surf and turf, or signature barbeque baby back pork ribs any night of the week.
Please note: Dakota Grill is closing late September, 2009 to transform into a new restaurant. The last lunch is the 7th of August, and dinner will be open until Sept 19th.
I've been there with some friends and we had a great time. I really loved the location and the waitress were very friendly and cute. The food was fantastic. Real American Steak and it was huge. I'd recommend this restaurant a lot, specially the drinks are awsome!
I love the ambiance here, the piano player on the top floor is fantastic and adds to the overall experience tenfold. The flatbread pizza starter was fantastic, love the cheese on it. Order an apple martini and the rim is lined in cinnamon sugar, have you heard of a more perfect coupling? Try the mix grill plate for the best the place has to offer, including a ton of wonderful sauces.
There's something about live piano music that makes your whole experience amazing. The food was so tastey...i got the ribs. the portions were perfect and the service was so fast!

I RECOMMEND this place to everyone I know. It's an excellent place to eat. The food was absolutely mouthwatering. Savoring every bite is now a past time of mine.

This is a great steakhouse in downtown...fantastic ambiance and the piano player on the top floor is a great addition to the experience! I definitely recommend the ribs and the steaks are just as incredible!
A couple friends and I went for dinner on a saturday night. They have a piano person on the top level which was extremely nice. The skirt steak and salmon is my favorite every time we go there. A little pricey, but i'm used to it.
Best Steakhouse in town. Great ribs huge steaks and tasty sauces. Real American inerior and just a place to enjoy eating
The ambiance here was great! I think the piano music added the perfect touch to the whole experience....we started off with a fantastic garlic flatbread and then I got had some delicious ribs for dinner....this place was just great!
