Croutons was created to fill an empty niche – people looking
for quick, good, fresh food. At this La Jolla eatery, it’s about the details.
With six different types of croutons, ranging from the
classic herb and garlic to the more unique cornbread and pita styles, Croutons,
the restaurant, is an upscale, casual restaurant the serves more than fourteen
different kinds of salads. Paninis, pita
sandwiches, and homemade soups tempt from the menu.
A word of advice: If you
still can’t decide, go with the combo – choose two of a half sandwich, a half
salad, or soup for just $6.95. And for
dessert, try one of the scrumptious Croutons bites – bite-sized brownies and
cookies – get 3 for just five quarters.
