Restaurant Details: Ingrid Croce opened up Croce’s Restaurant and Jazz Bar as a tribute to her late husband and former musician Jim Croce. It was back in 1973 when they first moved to San Diego after having lived in New York City while Jim went on promotional tour all over Europe and the United States. Here was the initial thought of an eatery and music joint. Back then nothing of the sort was available and years after joking of opening up a local restaurant and bar, Ingrid decided to keep Jim’s music alive through what has come to be known as Croce’s Restaurant and Jazz Bar. Located on Fifth and F in the Gaslamp district, Croce’s Restaurant and Jazz Bar continues to pay tribute to Jim Croce’s music by offering live music nightly alongside the delicious contemporary American cuisine.
