Editorial Review of
Crest Cafe
Open daily from 7am to midnight, this Hillcrest
hotspot serves up good, hearty home-cookin’ to those in the know. At Crest Café, you won’t find fancy napkins
or overpriced, experimental dishes with names you can’t pronounce. You will
find friendly servers, local artists, and a lot of bang for your buck.
For breakfast, try the Crest Eggs, served with ham or bacon
sandwiched in a flaky croissant, or the Yucatan Tostadas, tortillas with beans,
avocados, Monterey Jack, and eggs. For lunch or dinner, try the delightfully
fresh California Chopped Chicken salad served in a tortilla bowl or the
comforting “Not Your Grandma’s Chicken Pot Pie”.
Special Mention:
If you’re wary of ordering a side of fruit for fear of a plate full of
indistinguishable melons, never fear. At Crest Café, the fruit abounds with
raspberries, bananas, strawberries, grapes, and pineapples.
